Centuries-old tradition
OPG ŠIŠAK produces high-quality extra virgin olive oil. The oil is obtained exclusively by the mechanical cold-pressing method. Respecting tradition, OPG Šišak produces organic extra virgin olive oil, also obtained exclusively through mechanical cold pressing. The farm owns three olive groves, with over 130 olive trees planted. Some groves are inherited, while others are newly planted. Year by year, the plantations are continuously expanding in the untouched natural surroundings near the Krka National Park.
All oils are obtained exclusively by the mechanical cold-pressing method under strict control, and the olive production is organic. The offer includes extra virgin olive oil from a mixed variety, Oblica, and Šibenik Krvavica Lastovka.

Out of 130 olive trees, some are over 100 years old, cultivated by four generations of the Šišak family. We have Oblica, Lastovka, Leccino, Buža, Istarska Bjelica, Levantinka, and, of course, our native variety, Skradin Krvavica.

The Mediterranean climate and soil are ideal for olive cultivation, and the nearby Krka River is famous for its beautiful waterfalls. Irrigation is possible, and we currently use a drip irrigation system. This is why we have a solid harvest every year. From varieties such as Oblica, Šibenik Krvavica Lastovka, Leccino, Ascolana Tenera, Levantinka (Šoltanka), Buža, Istarska Bjelica, Buhara (Murgulja), and Kosmača, we produce a mixed extra virgin olive oil. We also offer extra virgin olive oil produced exclusively from the Oblica and Šibenik Krvavica Lastovka varieties, which stand out for their rich flavors and aromas. The cultivation is organic, for which we also hold the appropriate certificate.
Our oil is an interesting "blend" that particularly appeals to people who enjoy a slightly bitter, spicy olive oil, which we make as early as October, since we harvest the olives very early. We produce around 600 liters of olive oil annually, most of which is sold immediately after processing. Dubravice and Skradin are known for their organic production. Located at the gates of Krka National Park, this part of Dubravica and Prispu offers ideal conditions for olive cultivation. OPG Šišak's olive oil, which won a gold medal at the World Olive Oil Competition in New York, USA, has entered the official guide of the best world extra virgin olive oils. Grown in the Skradin hinterland, pressed at the Laća mill, and awarded in the Big Apple!

Great-grandfather Niko planted the first olive trees. The oldest olive grove consists of 36 trees (Oblica, Skradin Krvavica), which are at least 100 years old. The trees suffered significant damage during the Homeland War. The trunks had to be completely cut back as they were burned and rotting from the damage caused by shrapnel.

Grandfather Lovre takes over the olive grove from his father.
The third generation of Šišak olive growers.
Nikola takes over the olive grove from his father Lovre and registers the family farm OPG NIKOLA ŠIŠAK. Together with his father, he plants a new olive grove with 74 trees (of different olive varieties).

Ante plants another olive grove in the spring of 2020, with 50 trees (of different varieties). Now, OPG ŠIŠAK owns a total of 160 olive trees across three groves.
